Unique Artwork “Food Waste Kiwi” – Limited Edition of 11
With Food Waste Kiwi, the artist continues his exploration of food waste and of the consumer society, by staging a forgotten, neglected fruit, at the end of its cycle.
A kiwi, burst and oxidized, lies on a shiny surface, its juice slowly flowing into a staging as poetic as it is brutal. Its bright green flesh contrasts with the roughness of its brown skin., evoking the fine line between freshness and decay, value and abandonment.
Through this minimalist approach, the work poses a direct question: How does our view of food change when it stops being “perfect”? This kiwi is no longer a simple fruit, but the symbol of rejection, of the injustice of calibration and of the dictates of appearance in the food industry.
By capturing that fleeting moment when the fruit becomes undesirable, the artist invites us to rethink the notion of waste and the fragility of living things, while evoking an aesthetic close to the 17th century vanities, where still life recalls the precariousness of existence.
Shot in limited series of 11 copies, each work is numbered, signed and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
The printing is done on the prestigious Hahnemühle Photo Rag Baryta paper 315g, recognized for its museum qualities and its exceptional rendering. Each print benefits from a meticulous handcrafted finish : mounted on a medium wood support with a special Fine Arts glue, then protected by three coats of matte varnish, guaranteeing visual depth and optimal durability.
In an eco-responsible approach, each work is highlighted in a carefully selected recycled frame, adding a authentic and sustainable dimension to this creation.
