Unique Artwork “Food Waste Tomato” – Limited Edition of 11
With Food Waste Tomato, the artist Gildas Paré continues his critical look at the consumer society and the food waste through a visually striking staging.
A burst tomato lies on a dark surface, its juice and pulp spilling out in a bright and organic splashThe dramatic composition recalls a impact scene, where the banality of waste becomes a metaphor of rejection and forgetting. This fruit, once a symbol of freshness and abundance, turns into a vestige of indifference, highlighting our conflicted relationship with food and its overproduction.
The carefully crafted lighting highlights contrasting textures – the smooth, taut skin of the tomato before it bursts, the juice splashed on the ground, the flesh in shreds – creating a visual tension between beauty and decay.
Through this work, the artist invites a reflection on the fragility of life and the absurdity of waste, in an approach which combines commitment and aesthetics, like the classic vanities revisited from a contemporary perspective.
Shot in limited series of 11 copies, each work is numbered, signed and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
The printing is done on the prestigious Hahnemühle Photo Rag Baryta paper 315g, recognized for its museum qualities and its exceptional rendering. Each print benefits from a meticulous handcrafted finish : mounted on a medium wood support with a special Fine Arts glue, then protected by three coats of matte varnish, guaranteeing visual depth and optimal durability.
In an eco-responsible approach, each work is highlighted in a carefully selected recycled frame, adding a authentic and sustainable dimension to this creation.
