A bridge between Art & Sciences

Human beings, accidents of nature, stateless of biodiversity, relatively organism powerful and potentially emancipated, remains indefectibly manipulated by natural mechanisms which surpass it; it is now the plaything of technological evolution whose deep workings are of a natural essence, like those of biological evolution.

HIS History

What will rise from our ashes? Neo-organisms, a journey beyond a million years of evolution after us.

An artist for twenty years, this self-taught artist has drawn his inspiration from the great modern and contemporary artists such as Van Gogh, Gauguin, Gaudí and Soulages.

Influenced by Charles Darwin's evolutionary vision, Fred Naud takes a positive look at the future: what if other species could be born thanks to the carbon released by humans?

Through works with surrealist appearances, the Carbon Rock Project invites us to discover a poetic representation of a future world, imbued with carbon: neo-organisms.

Fred Naud is clearly fascinated by the evolutionary history of life on our planet; thus, carbon, the fundamental ingredient of living objects, is the basis of several of his works, associated with representations of other factors of life: light, water and heat.

I like the idea of offering viewers a change of time scale, and offering them a tool to put their belonging to the living world into perspective, to approach their everyday life.
